Dandy Vol 2

Hello! July 17 we will be bringing back Dandy for a new volume of content here on the site, as well as a brand new show hosted on twitch, youtube and Facebook.

This year, with help from TakingitGlobal and the Government of Canada, we are not only able to pay our amazing performers, but to hire Aggressive Alpaca Productions, to film local performers on location at Club 200.

It’s going to be an amazing show, and myself and the cast are excited to show you what we’ve come up with. See you all VERY soon!

And We’re Live

Welcome to Dandy! This project has been in the works since late 2019, first intended for a limited publication of physical copies in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. However, 2020 threw a few curve balls our way, and the project was pushed farther and farther back until it was essentially forgotten.

In late May, I decided it was time to revive the project to be released on Father’s day, a fun little joke. Daddy’s, Dandies, you get the gist. A week after I started messaging the prospective cast, the Minneapolis police murdered George Floyd

The decision to go ahead with the show and the release. I didn’t want to take focus from the protests, petitions, donation drives, bailout funds etc. I took time, I asked the performers on their feelings, I reached out to more black, trans and indigenous performers. I have not been a perfect ally, but I have tried to make reparations.

So this show, all proceeds are being donated to the LGBTQ Freedom Fund, and National Bailout. Two organizations helping those affected by police brutality in North America. You can donate through the show, or simply visit either of the organizations websites.

Thank You for your patience, and your support,

Dirt
